039 What Happened to Black Radio

The Clinton Administration saw the end of independent radio with the 1996 FCC deregulation. Making it impossible for independently owned radio stations to compete with Corporate juggernauts that could now monopolize radio.  Black Radio stations were hardest hit.  Join me and my guest Dani Dye who saw the decline of black-owned radio stations from the beginning to the end.
